My First Completed Project 2017!

Ever since I saw this sweater on Ravelry I have been wanting to make it. I finally got going on it! I am very happy with the fit and the pattern was easier than I anticipated.
I did have trouble figuring out the sleeves...Not the fault of the designer!😉
I photographed the steps once I figured them out. I am making another sweater from this pattern now.

Here is my video of the sweater https://youtu.be/0fYSpzS1sLo
And here is the link to the pattern! I added the roses and the peplum.

It’s so pretty Colleen, and well done on the video which I enjoyed watching. All my projects these days are connected to books and my blog. It takes an age to sort out each blog post, and now I have the new challenge of looking for books by Enid Blyton published in my birth year. I’m waiting for the weather to warm up, so I can start visiting flea markets and car boots. I used to get up at 5am to be at car boots as soon as they opened, I would search by torchlight while the ice was still on the puddles, but those days are long gone. I need daylight, warmth and several cups of tea these days. Have a lovely week, Barbara x

What a pretty sweater! You did a great job and I enjoyed your video. I love the peplum you added (a new word for me). My daughter crochets and might like to try this pattern. Thanks for sharing, Colleen!

Barbara! Thank you for your sweet comment. What fun to be looking for the Enid Blyton books from your birth year that you want! YES! Gone are the days when I went out in all weathers at ungodly hours to hunt for treasured books... Keep us posted! Half the fun of a book collection is the story about how each book was found and acquired ( not always a single story). You will have so much to entertain us with on your blog. Please include photos of you with the books as you find them! I look forward to your adventures. I hope Enid is smiling down on your quest!

Hi Marcia! Thank you for your encouraging comment. I am still struggling with videos-so i am glad you enjoyed it.The pattern is really fun because you can try it on as you go and adjust accordingly. I am making a summer version in cotton thread. This was a fun post.

Hello Colleen, getting photos as I find the books (if I find them) is such a good idea, thank you for that. I will be out hunting on my own a lot of the time, so I will have to look for friendly strangers to take the photos.

I wanted to let you know that Willie has left a reply for you at my blog together with a link to a recipe for Sicilian Cassate, although he does say it might be easier to buy it ready made. :)

Happy Valentine's Day x
