Torrents of Spring Followed by Sunshine

This time of the year I always get into Spring Overwhelm. The weather seems to be in a similar state. The view from my kitchen window shows the turbulence

What a difference a day - and a New Moon- makes! Today is sunny and calm and the flowers are recovering from the stormy weather. The stream is now gently flowing...
I am beginning to feel the same way. After a tumultuous April , I am calming down into a more balanced routine. I have missed posting on this blog. I just had too many things to attend to in last month.
I love this viburnum "snowball bush". This year it is so heavy with blooms! It has been a very fast and beautiful spring.
These oenothera speciosa are my favorite spring flowers. I first saw them growing wild on the levee in New Orleans as a child. We called them "pink primroses". I now know that they are not botanically primroses, but the true primulas have a hard time growing in subtropical New Orleans!
I hope all of you are having a beautiful spring and that it is really easy for you to Appreciate Beauty Everyday!
I LOVE to read and reply to your comments! Are you having a beautiful spring? Do you experience Spring Overwhelm? Do you have special favorites among the spring flowers?
Thank you for stopping by! I would love for you to post links to your blog and Pinterest Boards. You can see mine at https://www.pinterest.com/colleen2322/

Nice to see you back, Colleen! I'm happy to hear you're feeling calm and balanced. I'm overdoing the multitasking lately, but hope to slow down to a better pace soon. Everything looks so green and lush in your yard and the flowers are beautiful. Spring is slowly coming to New England, one day hot and the next day cold, but we'll get there!

I so look forward to a new post from you Colleen and this one is very special. I can’t get over all the different shades of green in your second picture. I love trees and would happily spend my days walking among them. The snowball bush and ‘pink primroses are beautiful. I have so many spring favourites it would be difficult to name them all but primroses, snow drops and forget-me-not certainly feature on my list.
I think you know my pinterest address but just in case https://uk.pinterest.com/barbaraafisher/

You are so sweet, Barbara!I do love all the shades of green in Spring. You would love walking in my woods as long as it is not too hot & humid! So many varieties of hardwood trees and so many wildflowers! I love long, cool, rainy springs- such lovely colours! Yesterday the cuckoos and the wood thrushes started singing! Thank you as ever for your comments, dear. Happy Spring!

You are not wrong Colleen! It is so rare to hear a Cuckoo in England now; we used to mark the start of spring by the sound of the Cuckoo but not any more. Happy Spring to you dear friend.

No cuckoos, Barbara???? I loved hearing them in the years I was in England- also I do love the sound of your doves! And the larks! I never did hear a nightingale -in Berkeley square or any where else, though.

Cuckoos are scarce in this part of Somerset almost non-existent in fact which is very sad. As for nightingales, I’ve heard the song but not the bird. :)

Thank you for coming to visit me today, I hope you are keeping well. Hugs Barbara

Dear Colleen, thank you so much for visiting my blog. I often stop over at your blog to see if you are around, I miss your posts but I know 'real' life has a way of taking over. Our grandson (Tristan) is staying with us for a couple of weeks so I am finding it hard to keep up with everyone but I wanted to say hello to you.
